Indonesian school gets statue of Barack Obama | Statue Of Barack Obama

A statue of Barack Obama as a boy was installed on Monday at the Indonesian primary school, which the US president attended in the late 1960s in the capital Jakarta.

More than six feet, the bronze statue has been placed in the compound of Menteng One school after it was removed from a nearby park last Sunday, vice-principal Akhmad Solikhin told AFP.

"We put the statue near the entrance gate of the school so everyone can see it when they pass by. Everyone is welcome to see it," he said.

"The children are also happy that we've moved it here. The costs from removing the statue from the park to putting it up again at the school were 3,200 dollars paid for by donors," Solikhin said.

More than 57,000 people had joined a page on the social networking website Facebook calling for the statue to be removed from the park and replaced by a memorial to an Indonesian figure.

But Ron Mullers, chairman of the group Friends of Obama, which paid for the statue, said the move was not a response to those objections. "We feel the school is the best place to be... because this was where he went to school and this is a memory for him," he said.

The statue of "Little Barry" -- as Obama was known to his Indonesian school friends -- was designed by Indonesian artists and depicts the boy Obama dressed in shorts and a T-shirt with a butterfly perched on his hand.

Public disgusted by Mayor Mike Bloomberg, President Barack Obama and rest of the 'in' crowd: Poll

A spate of new polls shows no one is immune from this season's rising tide of voter disgust - not President Obama, not Mayor Bloomberg, not City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, not anyone.

"Welcome to the new public game show - it's called 'Hate the Incumbents,'" cracked political consultant Hank Sheinkopf.

"The good news for most of them is they don't have to face reelection anytime soon," Sheinkopf added. "But those who do may not be in control of their own destinies."

The bad news starts at the top, where President Obama would be booted from the Oval Office if he faced reelection today. Just 44% of Americans would vote for him, compared with 52% who would prefer someone else, a CNN/ORC survey found this week.

The President's biggest problem is the economy, which helped put him in office when it tanked under President George W. Bush but now has become an anchor around his administration's neck, surveys suggest.

Obama did his best yesterday to put a new gloss on his $787 billion stimulus bill, which was signed into law a year ago.

"Our work is far from over, but we have rescued this economy from the worst of this crisis," Obama said.

The news is better, but still not great, for Bloomberg.

Hizzoner's approval rating has fallen to 61% - a healthy majority but still his lowest point in 41/2 years, a new Quinnipiac University poll found yesterday.

That's down from 67% in September and 75% in October 2008. The last time Bloomberg dipped so low was July 2005, when he had a 60% approval rating heading into his first reelection bid.

"For Mayor Mike, 60 is the new 70," Quinnipiac's Mickey Carroll said. "The man who cruised through his second term with 70% approval ratings should be happy if he can stay above 60% in his third term."

Other city leaders fare worse.

Quinn has a 44% approval rating after four years of running the Council. New Controller John Liu also is at 44%, and new Public Advocate Bill de Blasio has a rating of 37%.

Controversial Schools Chancellor Joel Klein is more loathed than loved: 39% of voters approve of the job he's doing, and 40% disapprove.

Obama can take heart in one number - if this whole White House thing doesn't work out, he might want to consider running for mayor of New York in 2013.

The President's approval rating in deep blue New York remains at 72% - an enviable number for other pols. Still, his disapproval rating shot up to 25%.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said it was understandable that people's outlook is not rosy, given the depth of the recession inherited by the White House.

"It's understandable the frustration that the American people feel about the direction of their economy, based on what we've gone through since December 2007," Gibbs said, adding that the recovery act created about 2 million jobs to "fill in a hole that was 8.4 million jobs deep."

Obama Offers Budget With Deficits as Far as Number-Crunchers Can See |

As President Obama prepares to unveil his $3.8 trillion budget for fiscal year 2011, which begins Oct. 1, the White House is projecting the current fiscal year will end with a $1.6 trillion deficit, congressional sources confirmed to Fox News.

Next year's budget will have a nearly $1.3 trillion debt, according to those sources, dropping to just over half that -- $700 billion in fiscal year 2013 -- before jumping back up to $1 trillion in 2020, the furthest out that budgeters will predict.

A $1.6 trillion deficit would represent more than 10 percent of the gross domestic product, but the White House says over the next 10 years, the average deficit will represent only 4.5 percent of GDP annually. Last year's deficit was $1.42 trillion.

The numbers come as the president and congressional Democrats have pivoted from preparing a $1 trillion health care proposal to focusing on jobs and the deficit. Speaking at the State of the Union last week, Obama told a joint session of Congress that he wants to freeze spending -- beginning in 2012 -- on discretionary spending except the military, veterans and homeland security. The president said that would save $250 billion over 10 years.

"There's a three-year discretionary spending freeze and that is to say there is a three-year cap on domestic discretionary spending," said Obama senior adviser David Axelrod on CNN. "Within that cap we're going to have to prioritize just like every business or every family would, so we're going to have to do away with the things that we don't need in order to pay for the things that we do."

"We don't expect this is going to be easy," Fox Business Network reported White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer saying. Pfeiffer added that the White House proposed cuts last year but Congress funded programs anyway.

But keeping budget deficits where they are currently projected will happen only if tax cuts passed in 2001 and 2003 expire as scheduled at the end of this year. The White House calculates tax hikes would generate $1.2 trillion in revenue over 10 years.

"We just did an 84 percent increase in a very short period of time of all this new spending. Democrats, since they took over Congress, increased domestic discretionary spending by $1.4 trillion," Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., said on "Fox News Sunday."

"We don't think taking all this money out of the private economy up to Washington and spending it through Washington is the way to create jobs. We believe we should keep that money in the economy," Ryan added.

Congressional sources say Obama's new budget will propose extending the popular middle-class tax breaks of $400 per individual and $800 per couple through 2011. They were due to expire after this year.

It also calls for $250 payments to 57 million Social Security recipients to bolster their finances in a year when they are not receiving inflation-pegged, cost-of-living increases because the consumer price index is so low.

In the president's budget, Obama is going to set aside $160 billion for the war in Afghanistan and ongoing operations in Iraq.

Fox News' Major Garrett and Chad Pergram contributed to this report.

Pay As You Go Along | Pay As You Go Laws | What Are Public Service Jobs | What Is Capital Gains Tax | Obama Will Endorse ‘Pay as you go’ Law

President Obama is calling for a so-called paygo law — as in, pay as you go law— that would require Congress to offset the cost of new tax cuts or spending on entitlement programs, like Medicare, with tax increases or spending cuts to avoid adding to the deficit, according to his press office.

The president will make his support clear in his State of the Union address tonight. A major theme of the speech will be his intention — as the economy recovers — to focus on reducing deficits that have become so large that they are a political liability.

Mr. Obama also will confirm that he will create a bipartisan debt-reduction commission and propose a three-year freeze on a one-eighth slice of the budget for domestic spending. The paygo legislation he’s endorsing is a compromise reached among Congressional Democratic leaders; it exempts future extensions of some existing tax cuts for the middle class.

Here’s an excerpt from the White House this morning:

“…In the 1990s, statutory paygo encouraged the tough choices that helped to move the government from large deficits to surpluses, and the President believes it can do the same today. Statutory paygo would hold the government to a simple but bedrock principle: Congress can only spend a dollar if it saves a dollar elsewhere….

“…Both houses of Congress have already taken an important step toward righting our fiscal course by adopting congressional rules incorporating the paygo principle, but we can strengthen enforcement and redouble our commitment by enacting paygo into law.”

Barack Obama effigy: Barack Obama effigy in Georgia | Obama Effigy | Effigy Definition, Ziekte Van Parkinson, Nick En Simon, Nick En Simon Songteksten

President Barack Obama’s effigy was found hanging from a noose near a building with a sign board reading “Plains, Georgia, Home of Jimmy Carter, our 39th President”.

Obama’s effigy was found on Saturday, Jan 2. The black doll wore a sign that had Obama’s name written on it. The Secret Service is investigating this case.

Local residents didn’t want to talk about the black doll effigy because they said it gives the town a bad name. Someone who talked about it said the person who hang the effigy from the roof of the building could have done it at night, when no one was watching or when it was too dark to spot the deed being done.

The effigy was hung from the flat roof top of a building. The building was probably chosen because to had the signboard about the former president Jimmy Carter. The effigy bore a sign with a single word, “Obama”.

Although the towns people refused to speak on camera about the effigy, they were seen taking pictures of the effigy. The town authorities were notified and they removed the effigy.

The Secret Service said they would not be commenting on this incident until the new week starts on Jan 4.

Kevin Jennings | Safe School Czar Reading List | Ken Jennings | Kevin Jennings Glsen | Tiger On Oprah

Who is Safe School Czar?

Read an article below from Gather.com:

Kevin Jennings, Obama's "Safe School" Czar, pervert at large was an official in the Obama Campaign as its Gay-Lesbian-Bisexual fund-raising co-chair. This job was Barry's payoff to Jennings for raising large sums of money for him. This pervert is well known for his propagandizing of school children. It was Jennings himself who re-coined the very term "safe school" to mean a pro-homosexual school. This pervert is actively promoting his "queer" school agenda using deception and outright lies.

Is this another of those "I didn't know he was a pervert" lies from Barry Soetero AKA Barack Obama?

What is this subhuman piece of filth doing in the job of "Czar" of anything. Another of Barry's close associates. Do you see a pattern here. Thieves, tax cheats, perverts and communist, all selected by Barry the great to oversee our country.

It's time for a "change". I say impeach Barry and fire congress.
