Senator, lawyer, former First Lady. Hillary Diane Rodham was born on October 26, 1947 in Chicago and raised in Park Ridge, Illinois, a picturesque suburb located 15 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.

She was the eldest daughter of Hugh Rodham, a prosperous fabric store owner, and Dorothy Emma Howell Rodham. Hillary had two younger brothers, including Hugh, Jr. (born 1950) and Anthony (born 1954).

As a young woman, Hillary Rodham was active in young Republican groups and campaigned for Republican presidential nominee Barry Goldwater in 1964. She was inspired to work in some form of public service after hearing a speech in Chicago by the Reverend Martin Luther King and became a Democrat in 1968.

Rodham attended Wellesley College; she was active in student politics and was elected Senior Class president before she graduated in 1969. She then attended Yale Law School, where she met Bill Clinton. Graduating with honors in 1973, she also attended one post-graduate year of study on children and medicine at Yale Child Study Center.

Hillary worked at various jobs during her summers as a college student. In 1971, she first came to Washington, D.C to work on U.S. Senator Walter Mondale's subcommittee on migrant workers. In the summer of 1972, she worked in the western states for the campaign of Democratic presidential nominee George McGovern.

In the spring of 1974, Rodham became a member of the presidential impeachment inquiry staff, advising the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives during the Watergate Scandal. After President Richard M. Nixon resigned in August, she became a faculty member of the University of Arkansas Law School in Fayetteville, where her Yale Law School classmate and boyfriend Bill Clinton was teaching as well.

Rodham married Bill Clinton on October 11, 1975, at their home in Fayetteville. Before he proposed marriage, Clinton had secretly purchased a small house that she had remarked that she liked. When he proposed marriage to her and she accepted, he revealed that they owned the house. Their daughter, Chelsea Victoria, was born February 27, 1980.

In 1976, she worked on Jimmy Carter's successful campaign for president while husband Bill was elected Attorney General. He was elected governor in 1978 at age 32, lost re-election in 1980, but came back to win in 1982, 1984, 1986 (when the term of office was expanded from two to four years) and 1990.

Hillary joined the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock and in 1977 was appointed to part-time chairman of the Legal Services Corporation by President Carter. As First Lady of Arkansas for a dozen years (1979-1981, 1983-1992), she chaired the Arkansas Educational Standards Committee, co-founded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families and served on the boards of the Arkansas Children's Hospital, Legal Services and the Children's Defense Fund. She also served on the boards of TCBY and Wal-Mart. In 1988 and 1991, The National Law Journal named her one of the 100 most powerful lawyers in America. During the 1992 presidential campaign, she emerged as a dynamic and valued partner of her husband, and as president he named her to head the Task Force on National Health Reform (1993). The controversial commission produced a complicated plan which never came to the floor of either house. It was abandoned in September 1994.

Ingredients

For the topping:

* 2 medium onions, thinly sliced

* 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

* 2 tablespoons panko bread crumbs

* 1 teaspoon kosher salt

* Nonstick cooking spray

For beans and sauce:

* 2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon kosher salt, divided

* 1 pound fresh green beans, rinsed, trimmed and halved

* 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

* 12 ounces mushrooms, trimmed and cut into 1/2-inch pieces

* 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

* 2 cloves garlic, minced

* 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg

* 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

* 1 cup chicken broth

* 1 cup half-and-half

Directions

Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F.

Combine the onions, flour, panko and salt in a large mixing bowl and toss to combine. Coat a sheet pan with nonstick cooking spray and evenly spread the onions on the pan. Place the pan on the middle rack of the oven and bake until golden brown, approximately 30 minutes. Toss the onions 2 to 3 times during cooking. Once done, remove from the oven and set aside until ready to use. Turn the oven down to 400 degrees F.

While the onions are cooking, prepare the beans. Bring a gallon of water and 2 tablespoons of salt to a boil in an 8-quart saucepan. Add the beans and blanch for 5 minutes. Drain in a colander and immediately plunge the beans into a large bowl of ice water to stop the cooking. Drain and set aside.

Melt the butter in a 12-inch cast iron skillet set over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms begin to give up some of their liquid, approximately 4 to 5 minutes. Add the garlic and nutmeg and continue to cook for another 1 to 2 minutes. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute. Add the broth and simmer for 1 minute. Decrease the heat to medium-low and add the half-and-half. Cook until the mixture thickens, stirring occasionally, approximately 6 to 8 minutes.

Remove from the heat and stir in 1/4 of the onions and all of the green beans. Top with the remaining onions. Place into the oven and bake until bubbly, approximately 15 minutes. Remove and serve immediately.

It has been decided by the CGDA in consultation with the Army HQrs that all the PBORs need to give the mandate forms containing details of their Bank Account No. etc. duly countersigned by the branch manager before the monthly payment system is introduced.
These mandate forms are rather slow in reaching us. Hence request all the COs/OCs of ASC(South), M.E.G. & Centre, PARA Regt., C.M.P., PCTC & MLI to kindly furnish the mandatory mandate forms of the serving PBORs to us at the earliest. This will quicken the process of data entry and introduction of the monthly payment system to the PBORs.
The Monthly Pay Statement of the PBOR scheduled from November 2009, has since been postponed and date of implementation will be decided in consultation with AHQrs and intimated in due course.
Till that time, Normal procedure of Imprest Payments through ACRs may be continued.
Registration of Bank Details through Web Site has temporarily been discontinued.
Those who have already registered thro' Site and not sent their NEFT Mandate Forms may please forward the same to the concerned PAOs as ink signed Mandate Forms are necessary for creation of the Database.

Los Angeles: Dancing With the Stars 2009 Winner: Dancing With The Stars winner name is now announced, as the show was wrapped up with a jam-packed two-hour finale Tuesday night. The winners were … Donny and Kym.

Following the announcement of his name, Donny ran to the crowd, grabbed his wife and carried her onto the floor.

“I’m so happy to have made it to the finals. … We had the time of our lives,” said Mya, who came in second.

Kelly Osbourne, the third position holder said “It’s been the most beautiful amazing experience. … Thank you, America. … It’s because of you that I’ve grown so much.”

After about an hour and 52 minutes of filler, host Tom Bergeron began by announcing the third-place couple, which was, to the surprise of no one, Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel. The crowd booed lustily, but Kelly took it gracefully.

And then it was time to reveal the champion. Would it be Donny Osmond or Mya? Crowd appeal or technical skill? The winners were … Donny and Kym. The lesson? Crowds love Donny Osmond. Leave it up to them, and they will reliably pick a familiar ham over the best dancer.

Donny inches closer: Each of the finalists repeated one of the season's dances. Kelly repeated her Viennese waltz from the very first week, Mya repeated her jive and Donny repeated his Argentine tango. Rather than score each dance, the judges ranked the couples, giving 30 points for first place, 28 for second place, and 26 for third place. For the second night in a row, Kelly finished in third place, but this time, Donny finished ahead of Mya — placing those two in a tie in overall judges' scores and guaranteeing it would come down to fan votes. Right then, Donny should have smelled victory.

Big name: The “special musical guest” was Whitney Houston. Her voice is not the peerless instrument it was perhaps 15 years ago, but she demonstrated that she's still a solid performer. The first number was a song from her new album, but the second reached all the way back — “I Want To Dance With Somebody,” serving a little nostalgia to the eager crowd.

A festival of filler segments: There is never any shortage of fluff in a two-hour finale in which almost nothing happens. The Losers' Club, made up of those eliminated first, welcomed this year's inductee: Ashley Hamilton. (Remember him?) Hamilton was roasted by loser Jeffrey Ross, then performed briefly and painfully with his former partner. In other news of returning bad dancers, Adam Carolla did a segment in which he played the “mean coach” trying to get a victory for a man this time.

There were, of course, lengthy looks back at the events of past weeks, from Tom DeLay's broken feet to Aaron Carter's crying jag, and the past contestants all returned with varying degrees of success — including DeLay, who finally got his shot at the Texas Two-Step. Nothing was too goofy for those who were back: Donny even crooned his big hit “Puppy Love” for the dance of Chelsie Hightower and Louie Vito. Michael Irvin's return meant a dance-off with former contestant (and fellow NFL star) Jerry Rice, in which Michael emerged victorious.

Finally, Miss Piggy for some reason emceed an interview segment with former contestants Cloris Leachman, Jerry Springer, Steve Wozniak and Joanna Krupa, who then participated in a competition mambo with professional partners. The joke, you see, is that the first three of these people are terrible, and Krupa is excellent. Three stooges and a great beauty — get it? The joke was over quickly; the bit, sadly, was not.

A sudden destructive fire has forced road closures, evacuations and is threatening Orange County homes in Anaheim,CA.

Tonight (Tuesday) saw the onset of the fire at around 10PM. It moved quickly covering 20 acres in half an hour, then 35 acres by only 11.30 PM.

30 Fire engines and 100 firefighters were at the fire by 10.30 PM, with the fire burning south of 91.

The 241 Toll Road has now been closed at Windy Ridge. The fire is being assisted by the 50 mph humid winds which is prompting a red fire warning from the NWS.

Spokesman for the fire service are saying that the firefighters are working hard and performing excellently to extinguish the fire. And are in great hopes that they will be soon be able to contain it.

They also mentioned that the West is where they are trying to keep the fire away from , as it is in the direction of the residential area. So they are using their efforts to direct the fire in the eastern part.

At this present time there is no direct threat to residents in the area. Although if the firefighters are not able to keep the fire contained in the east, there will directions made to move people away from Anaheim Hills.

Residents of the area are being told to be ready for late night evacuations. As the fire is inching towards homes.

SkiFree is a computer game created by Chris Pirih, who was working as a programmer at Microsoft at the time. The object of the game is simple: to ski down an endless slope and avoid the obstacles.

Pirih had created SkiFree in C on his home computer for his own education and entertainment. The game eventually attracted the attention of a program manager for Microsoft Entertainment Pack when he noticed Pirih playing it at work, leading to the inclusion of the game in the next Entertainment Pack release with Pirih’s consent.

The game was featured in the Best of Windows Entertainment Pack and was available as a ported version for Macintosh. SkiFree was also one of seven games included in The Best of Entertainment Pack released for Game Boy Color in 2001.

In 1993, Pirih started work on a second version of the game, but it was abandoned for other projects as the original source code was lost.

On April 4, 2005, Pirih announced the rediscovery of the game’s source code and the creation of a 32-bit version of SkiFree. The updated version is available on his official SkiFree website.

Because the initial SkiFree release was a 16-bit Windows program, compatibility issues arose when running the game in newer versions of Windows. Pirih noted that users of Windows XP can configure the operating system to run 16-bit Windows programs, resolving the problem for some.

The problem has since been addressed as Pirih rediscovered the game’s source code in April 2005, and created a more compatible 32-bit version of the game.

To run down the mountain in as easy a way as possible you must first finish a race. Then, go back up the mountain without pressing F2. Once you get past the green start flags come back down the mountain. Do not go outside of the markers. If this has been done correctly you will now be able to finish in times as fast as 28 to 27 seconds.

Just keep going past the stating line until the distance gauge says that you have gone 2000 meters. You will then be promptly devoured.

Start a new game. As you're skiing downhill you'll eventually see a ski-lift. Stop and get under the lift. Your points will start going up.

Lavina Bhatia arrested for Kunal Singh’s death

Lavia Bhatia has been arrested in actor Kunal Singh murder case, who was found dead at his residence in February last year.

South Indian actor Kunal Singh had committed suicide at his residence in Oshiwara, northwest suburb of Mumbai. He hanged himself from the ceiling fan in his first floor flat in Windermere apartment.

The death took placed on February 6, 2008, at Singh’s residence in Windermere Apartment at Oshiwara. Singh and Bhatia were alone in the flat. Bhatia and Singh’s families knew each other and Singh’s father, Col Rajendra Singh, had introduced Bhatia to his son, instructing him to help her get work.

After the incident, in her statement to the police, Bhatia stated that she went into the toilet and when she came out after 10 minutes, she foundSingh hanging from the ceiling fan. But his dad was not convinced with the investigation and approached the high court.

Following this, a special team was formed to re-investigate the case. The officer stated that Bhatia was the only person in the flat when the incident took place and so she was prime suspect.

The Bombay High Court asked the police to re-look into Kunal’s alleged suicide case after the victim’s father, Rajendra, filed a petition that his son was murdered. After the court order, the case was re-investigated and amurder case was registered. Suspect Laveena was arrested on Sunday.

Lavina Bhatia has been arrested by the police. Police said that she has been arrested in connection with the murder of actor Kunal Singh. Kunal Singh was found dead in last February. He was hanging from the ceiling fan of his rented apartment in Versova, surburban Mumbai. Kunal Singh worked in ‘Gangotri and Mai Baap’, Tamil film ‘Kadhalar Dinam’ and its Hindi remake ‘Dil Hi Dil Mein’ opposite Sonali Bendre.
Lavina and Kunal worked together in the film Yogi. She was in the house for some official work when incident happened. Last August Bombay high court ordered police to re-look the case after the victim’s father, Rajendra, filed a petition that his son was murdered. Inspector K Gadekar, Versova Police Station said

“After the court order, the case was re-investigated and a murder case was registered. We suspect Laveena’s role in the crime. She was arrested on Sunday under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code,”

Kunal’s father Rajendra said that he claimed Kunal’s body from the hospital and found many injury marks on the arms and chest which indicated that he was murdered and later hanged to indicate that it was a suicide. After the order of the court the case reopened and murder case is register by the police. On Sunday Lavina Bhatia was arrested by the police for investigation and in connection with the murder.
