It really depends where you are. Some places yes, some are not. Best to call ahead. Where I am at, everything is open.
Post offices are closed today.
In Iowa, 89% of banks are closed. In Minneapolis, Wells Fargo is closed while the US Bank is open.

Yes it is a Federal Holiday. but some child has school today, it wasn’t closed.
