We never opposed narco test: Talwars | CBI prepares to put Aarushi Talwar's parents through narco test

NEW DELHI: As CBI prepares to put Aarushi Talwar's parents through narco test, Rajesh Talwar and Nupur told Times City they were ready for it.

"Two weeks ago CBI informed us about the tests. In fact, they had mentioned quite casually that sub kuch ho chuka hai, baki yeh hi bacha hai (everything else is done, just this is left)," said Nupur.

Earlier, there were reports the couple was not keen to take the test. But on Monday Nupur said the reports were baseless and they had never opposed taking the test. "The reports were completely false. Aarushi was our daughter, why should we oppose something which helps the investigation. Last year in January we were ready for the narco test but it wasn't taken," said Nupur.

Added Rajesh: "We never opposed narco test. All that my counsel said was that since I have asthma the test should ensure there is no risk to my life, that's all. I'm ready to take the test."

Aarushi and Talwars domestic help Hemraj were found murdered at their Noida house on the intervening night of May 15 and 16, 2008. When asked to comment on the investigation that has failed to provide any breakthrough so far, Rajesh said only CBI could comment on how the probe was progressing.
