Valentine’s Day, February 14, is approaching quickly. So it is important to know what color each flower represents so you don’t misinterpret your affections for a certain someone whether they be a friend for Valentine’s Day or loved one. Ingrum researched the colors for years and chose specific colors to represent each type of affectionate relationship. Here is a chart to assist you in your Valentine’s Day giving of flower.

White means Purity, innocence, perfection, hope.

Red means love, passion, desire, and eroticism.

Dark Red means beauty and love.

White and Red means unity, togetherness, long-lasting love, and bonding.

Pink means Romance, sweetness, playfulness and gladness.

Yellow is the color of friendship and it means friendship, joy and happiness.

Yellow and Red means falling in love or the start of a new romance.

Coral means desire or love.

Purple or Lavender means enchantment, unique, noble or devotion.
