Tiger Woods, his sex addiction supposedly tamed and his reputation in tatters, is finally ready to say he's sorry.

The world's greatest golfer plans a public apology Friday over the raunchy sexcapades with more than a dozen women that threatened to destroy his career and his marriage to a former Swedish model.

"While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between he and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people," said his agent, Mark Steinberg.

"He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that's what he's going to discuss."

Since Woods wrecked his Cadillac Escalade after a Nov. 27 fight with his wife, Elin Nordegren, endless reports linked him to a tawdry parade of porn stars, cocktail waitresses, party girls and one cougar.

The 34-year-old with 14 major titles was dumped by several of his multimillion-dollar sponsors.

He disappeared for weeks before resurfacing last month, reportedly at a Mississippi rehabilitation center to treat his sex addiction.

While it was unclear how the public would respond to Woods' mea culpa, there appeared to be a thaw in his home life.

Woods and his 30-year-old wife met yesterday at the couple's family home, where the whole mess began in the early-morning hours after Thanksgiving, TMZ.com reported. Nordegren showed up with two cups of coffee for their rendezvous.

The couple, who share a pair of young children, met for a pleasant dinner the night before, RadarOnline reported.

Woods will not take any questions after addressing a small group of friends, colleagues and select reporters at the TPC Sawgrass headquarters of the PGA Tour in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Woods watchers expect the disgraced golfer to announce his return to the links - and avoid the seamy details of his multiple extramarital affairs.

"That is a big mistake," image consultant Mike Paul of MGP & Associates in Manhattan told the Daily News. "He signed a social contract when he decided to become a golf superstar. Sorry, it doesn't work that way."

The lawyer for one of Tiger's reputed conquests - hard-core porn princess Veronica Siwik-Daniels (aka Joslyn James) - said she wants the golfer to "apologize to Veronica by name on Friday for all of the anguish and distress that he has put her through."

Gloria Allred said she also wants Woods to acknowledge having "a three-year romantic and intimate relationship" with Siwik-Daniels and "that he told her that their relationship would last a lifetime."

"Veronica has made tremendous sacrifices for him," Allred added. "She gave up the porn business at his request and went into hiding when the scandal broke in order to protect him. But to date, he has not contacted her to apologize."
