SNL Presents: A Very Gilly Christmas Now with More Schweddy Balls | Sneak peeks at Gilly holiday special, James Franco hosting 'SNL' |

We get a double dose of "SNL" this week. James Franco hosts "Saturday Night Live" at 10:30 p.m. Saturday with musical guest Muse. Before the weekend, however, "A Very Gilly Christmas" airs at 7 p.m. Thursday on NBC. Kristen Wiig's creepy Gilly character gets the spotlight along with some new holiday skits. But I'm looking most forward to some classics, such as Alec Baldwin talking about his Schwetty Balls. Here are a couple of promo vids.

Tonight, NBC is airing a very special, Christmas special -- it's Christmas done as only Saturday Night Live can do it.

Over the years, some of my most favorite SNL sketches have been holiday themes and the best of the best is Alec Baldwin and his Schweddy Balls. This deliciously naughty word-play sketch, has Baldwin playing an understated, local entrepreneur appearing on the National Public Radio show The Delicious Dish.

Also on the show tonight is Steve Martin and his "Holiday Wish" and the very funny, almost banned, "D**k in a Box" with Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg. Generally, I don't go for that kind of humor, but the parody is so dead on, you can't help but laugh.

I also really enjoy Jimmy Fallon and the gang singing "I Wish it Was Christmas Today." There's nothing inherently funny about the tune, but you'll laugh anyway - right along with Jimmy.

It all starts tonight a 8 on NBC.

What's your favorite SNL holiday sketch?
