The man who attacked a student at Georgia Tech University yesterday has been named as Kshitij Shrotri, and in a twist to an already unbelievable story it seems that the man was not only a student, but also a colleague of the victim.
Kshitij Shrotri is now being held at Fulton County Jail, and it is believed that he will face stuff charges when he is processed later today. The Georgia Tech graduate, who has a qualification in aerospace engineering, shocked the campus yesterday after attacking an as-yet unnamed man, who is being treated in hospital.
MUGSHOT PHOTO! Here is the mug shot picture of Georgia Tech’s Kshitij Shrotri. Kshitij Shrotri (aka Kshitij Badger Shrotri) is the samurai sword assailant claims prosecutors arresting him Thursday.
Shrotri is accused of attacking two people on campus today inside the Weber Space Science and Technology Building. Shrotri is being held on an aggravated assault charges.
One victim is a postdoctoral fellowship student. The officer is in stable condition, his name listed as Robert J. Turner, 29.
Shrotri is a 2008 Georgia Tech Ph.D recipient. School officials said “rapid resolution of the incident preempted use of our emergency notification system, which is reserved for situations requiring members of the campus community to take immediate action.”
