New Jersey Devils captain Jamie Langenbrunner contributed a power-play goal at the start of the third period but at 16:51, Sidney Crosby’s power-play goal lifted Canada’ score to 3. Alternate captain for the Vancouver Canucks, Ryan Kesler, sprawls onto the ice and puts the puck into the empty net, securing the victory if the United States, with just 1 minute and 30 seconds left.
